Archaeological Geophysics

Near-surface mapping from one of Australia’s best

Offering a cost-effective heritage solution with minimal impact

My work is quite unique as it provides a minimally invasive way to understand archaeological sites and site settings by mapping subsurface features using various technologies. This falls well into landscape archaeology, cultural heritage management and the built environment of the past, which are very important in understanding the archaeological record. In the case, I look at how near-surface technologies can be used to understand a human behaviour, and this behaviour deals largely with the built environment (such as burials, camp sites, buildings and roads, the layout of villages and households and their placement on the landscape).
